Lyrics

WAITING FOR THE CHANGE
People tell me that I've got it made,  Seems most the time I get it right.
They don't see the battle in my heart,  It's so hard for me to shine the light.
Struggle everyday to lay down my pride,  And walk away from my sin.
Got to make real what I believe,  And let Jesus come alive with in.
I don't know how far I'll go,  Before He takes me home.
But I am longing for the day,  When He is finally done,
I'm waiting for the change.

Sometimes I think I've got it right,  And I end up on my face.
Most the time I know just who I am,  And how I need to learn to trust God's grace.
Can't taste, touch, feel, hear or see,  What I know is so very true.
In the moment of my desperate need  Jesus Christ is so very real.
I don't know how far we'll go,  Before He's done with me.
But I am longing for the day,  He forever sets me free,
I'm waiting for the change.
Oh it seems to go so slowly,  Just a little more every day.
How I'm longing for completion,  I'm waiting for the change.
Sometimes I think the more things change.    The more they remain the same.
God's still calling for men to come   And we're still here playing our games.
Everyday is one day closer to the day that's coming soon.
There's still time to turn to Jesus,  Oh give your heart to Him.
I don't know how far we'll go Before He brings the end.
Only those that are found in Him,  Will get to live again.
Are you waiting for the change?
Waiting for the change.
